'FRIENDS WITH A FOOL
[ACOUSTIC LIVE AT PRZ STUDIOS]' SINGLE - DECEMBER 5TH, 2025

DrewJam says:-
"Recorded back in 2019 at an intimate @thepracticeroomz session, this was the first song I played that night — just guitar, vocals, and a handful of lovely people in the room. It’s a moment I’ve carried with me ever since, so it feels right to finally share it! Hope it finds a place with you too."

'WHAT IF WE STAYED HERE' SINGLE - OCTOBER 3RD, 2025
DrewJam says:-
"From the rush of the Tube to the pull of the Atlantic, this song is about holding onto a perfect moment when life says hurry back.
Written on the windswept Cornish coast, the track captures the pull of staying in a perfect moment instead of rushing back to real life. Soulful indie-rock with spacious guitars, gentle piano, and a meditative chorus asking “What if we stayed here?”—it’s about presence, choice, and that longing to linger.
Huge thanks to drummer @ross_gardner25 for bringing the track to life, @maxhopwooduk for his support and expert sound engineering at London Road Studios, and producer @danjamesshort who added subtle textures and handled the final mix and master, helping the track achieve its open, oceanic atmosphere.
The cover photo is from Bude Sea Pool — a place full of fun memories that inspired the song."

Reviews for What If We Stayed Here:-
“From the very first strum, the track wraps the listener in warmth, blending heartfelt storytelling with delicate musicianship”
“Sincere, sentimental, honest and original, ‘What If We Stayed Here’ is an insightful song that not only plucks at your heartstrings but also invokes whimsical smiles.”

“A subtle manifesto on the value of permanence, not just in a physical place, but in an emotional state.”

'HOLDING FAST' SINGLE - JULY 18TH, 2025

DrewJam says:-
"This song holds a lot of things. It's about memory, fear, stillness - and trying to hold onto something before it slips away.
Holding Fast stands out for me as it's a song I wrote very quickly; music and lyrics all in about 40 minutes. It was written just after a family Christmas period; I sat down at piano and it just happened. I had to quickly find some paper as the words just sort of poured out. Is writing a song a mystery or something we can prepare for? Something quite emotional realised itself in that moment - I don't know how but I think I can understand why.
The song came together fast on piano — one of those moments where the core of the song just arrives. But figuring out how to build the world around it — the layers, the textures, the atmosphere — that took time. Sometimes the heart of a song is easy to find but getting the production right just takes a bit longer.
Thank you to the amazing @mxhdmusic for his work on making this track sound a really big tune, turning all my various noises into a fabulous mix and the equally amazing @ross_gardner25 for putting down an amazing drumming part which was just right for this tune...it's incredible. Really looking forward to people hearing this one...
The image comes from a photo taken in spring 2025 at Robin Hood’s Stride in the Peak District — a place where history feels etched into the rocks. It shows me holding the hands of my two daughters, looking out into the distance together. They are, of course, incredibly important to me — and part of the inspiration behind this song. For me, the picture captures what Holding Fast is about: holding on to what matters most, even as time moves on, and facing the vulnerability of the future."

Reviews for Holding Fast:-
“His vocals are incredibly delicate, offering the listener a taste of what he's all about. It's very Coldplay meets Snow Patrol and Morning Parade with some of that Home Counties charisma.”

“A heart-warming and tender ballad, ‘Holding Fast’ is a song of oscillation and escalation both melodically and lyrically.”
“A soul-stirring meditation on love, loss, and the quiet fight for emotional survival.”
“DrewJam dives into a slow-burning rock sound that’s introspective without being dull, poetic without slipping into melodrama.”
“His words hit you sideways – simple phrases that stick around after the song ends.”
“DrewJam’s ‘Holding Fast’ will have you mesmerised by the gentle, depth filled beauty it holds.”
“Holding Fast is his most emotionally resonant work to date, an ethereal rock ballad that begins with a simple piano motif and swells into a hauntingly beautiful crescendo of ambient textures, thunderous drums, and raw, poetic vocals. ”
“The combination of raw vocals, cinematic layering, and dynamic shifts creates a sense of movement that keeps the listener engaged from start to finish. ”
“With Holding Fast, DrewJam reminds us that a song can be a shelter: a place where fragility transforms into strength and music becomes a luminous catharsis.”
“By blending classical structure with bursts of contemporary rock energy, DrewJam delivers a song that feels timeless yet urgent, a reminder to keep holding on, no matter how strong the storm.”

DrewJam says:-
"This record is a powerful rhythmic upbeat pop-rock song with a heady mix of acoustic & electric guitar sounds and soaring solos, underpinned by atmospheric organ, piano and electric piano parts, with emotive vocals at the centre. The song wistfully explores the emotions that many of us face when friends and loved ones are influenced to make choices and take paths, whether because of infatuation, love, a relationship, that we believe are wrong."

“Riveting electric guitar melodies… these shifts in energy provide a dynamic journey”

DrewJam says:-
"A 4 track EP of live/acoustic versions of songs that I originally released back in 2019/2020. I've sat on these a little while so good to get them out! Thanks to Nick Kozuch for hosting me at @unitstudios , Herts back in 2020, helping me sing as I recovered from a shocking cold! and made it sound great. There are 2 tracks on the EP from my session at Unit Recording Studios, Herts and there are more that I'll release in the future.... Thanks also to Kriss at @thepracticeroomz for inviting me to perform at the The Practice Roomz back in 2019 for an intimate gig and to connect with some other great people, and a great recording of the set. One of the tracks from the EP was recorded at this session, which is one of my favourites - The Truth, and people will recognise this version from when they've seen me play it live! Another track is from a gig I did a few years back in Kentish Town in north London."

'MEDICINE MAN' SINGLE - AUGUST 16TH, 2019

DrewJam says:-
"This song is my take on the elusive art of songwriting!
I recorded the track 'live' at @londonroadstudios last year at the end of a recording session. Unlike my first two singles this is an acoustic track, with one vocal and one guitar (my much used Tanglewood acoustic!). Thanks to @maxhopwooduk at the studios for capturing exactly the right sound"

'MEASURE OF THE MOMENT' SINGLE - MAY 10TH, 2019

DrewJam says:-
"For me this song is about making things count, chasing your dreams, whilst being ever appreciative of all the amazing things you have.
There are lots of different interpretations.. amongst other things it's a song about finding a way to make the most of every moment...in a time where so many things can divert and distract us. How do we make the most of the time and moments we have? What's your Measure of the Moment?
This track was recorded at home and at @londonroadstudios with a fantastic mix by @maxhopwooduk and it features the masterful drumming of @kieranxleigh."

'THE TRUTH' SINGLE - JANUARY 8TH, 2019

DrewJam says:-
"This track is about digging deep and having the self-confidence and conviction to succeed when obstacles and barriers get in the way.
I originally wrote the song on piano, then it found it's way on to guitar. Amongst the other instruments I played on the track, I had the loan of a fine looking hohner bass guitar to play on it from a mate of mine @jamiespencr thanks mate! I don't get to play bass guitar often but a lot of fun when i get the chance!
I recorded it at home and at London Road Studios, with drums by @kieranxleigh, and it was mixed and mastered by @maxhopwooduk."
